When I was pregnant with my fourth baby, I thought what I needed was a pile of cash to be able to do and buy everything I needed. But as I reflected on what DIDN'T work after my last three births, it being alone, and trying to DO IT ALL, alone. I KNOW YOU ARE STRONG, and you could do this all on your own. But it is SO MUCH harder, and can wear you down and put you in intense situations!!

Reclaim Your Emotional Stability
As a three-time survivor of postpartum depression and anxiety, and now a Certified Postpartum Life Coach, I created a three-step approach for postpartum moms to calm their body and mind. It is simple and works in-the-moment, even amidst the intensity of postpartum emotions and the foggy sleep-deprived haze. I believe postpartum women need better tools for this intense season. With the right tools, you can feel like yourself again: playful and full of purpose in your life and motherhood.

Step 1: Calm Your Body
Instead of trying to talk yourself out of the scary feelings or thoughts, we teach you to bypass the mind and calm the sensations taking over the body.
K.W., one of our mamma members, had something really miraculous happen. After two miscarriages in a row before joining us, she was able to conceive a couple of months after becoming a member. She said: "When I allowed my body to start leading me, rather than my brain alone, I felt peace. Suddenly, my body was ready for what I had so longed for. Step 2: Calm Your Mind
Instead of trying to change your thoughts right away, we help you to work with your brain and understand why it wants to focus on scary things. Once you know the reason why, you can redirect with ease.
We know that women have been programmed to put others' needs before their own. In our program, you'll release this programming and replace it with a deep love for self-care (without being selfish). This will bring back that spark in your life, partnership, and with your kids.

Step 3: Calm Your Life

In our program, we teach you how to filter, and how to balance the difficult things with healthy habits like meditation and thought-tracking.
A 'bad day' turns into a 'bad few minutes', because you can turn it around.

Momma Member Story #1: Meet Kaylyn
From Shut Down and Ashamed to Joyful, Alive and Free
Before learning the Postpartum Freedom approach, Kaylyn described herself as “in the depths of my motherhood, drowning. I couldn’t get out of bed in the morning. My husband would have to take off work to stay home and take care of me and the kids.”
When she began working with the three-step Postpartum Freedom approach in her daily life, she noticed that one reason she was so unhappy in her motherhood was because she constantly criticized herself like she was under a microscope–everything from what time she woke up to how healthy the dinner was that she made for her kids.
Using our Calm your Body and Calm your Mind tools, she began to be more kind to herself. Slowly, she was able to not just see her failures, but also her efforts and intentions.
Kaylyn’s transformation was visible:

Momma Member Story #2: Meet Elizabeth
From Pain and Anger to Confident and Loving Motherhood
Elizabeth was hurting physically and emotionally even 14 months postpartum.
She said: “Before coaching with Lizzie my days were filled with physical pain doctors could not figure out. My body felt heavy, sleep was difficult, anger & rage filled my mind and body. I was lashing out at my family for everything from dropping their socks on the floor to not feeling loved.”
As Elizabeth worked the Calm your Body, Calm your Mind tools, she began to realize that she still had not processed the grief and anger she felt around her birth experience. “I was angry at the doctors, my husband, and myself for what happened.” Through coaching, she was able to release this emotion from her body.

“I was able to stop physical pain in my pelvic area by healing emotional wounds. I calmed my anxiety and depression that caused rage to my husband and children. Momma Member Story #3: Meet Tiana
Happier postpartum than even before having her baby
Tiana’s unhappiness postpartum made her realize that this was something that had started even before she became pregnant.
She said, “...The ‘unhappy’ I felt [after baby] had been an undertone in my life for several years. I had just been pulling myself up by the bootstraps, but I could no longer run from myself. I was angry and lost and I felt so alone and knew I needed help making sense of the world around me. I wanted help orienting myself in the life I felt very disconnected from, but very trapped in.”
She used her postpartum as a time to get to the root of the emotional buildup and unhappiness in her life.

This group is not a replacement for a relationship with your healthcare provider. Here at The Postpartum Coach, we strongly recommend that you keep your ObGyn, Midwife, Therapist, and/or Family Medicine Practitioner up to speed with how you’re feeling.
This is not a place where we come to get validation and that’s it. My promise to you is TOOLS to help make CHANGE in your life & body. You will learn to nurture and manage yourself while raising babies and kids.
That being said… sometimes the tool you need most, is love and acceptance for yourself in all your brokenness and hurt.
